Can we bring our own caterer?
Absolutely! We welcome you to arrange your own food vendors for your event. Please ensure that all food vendors have the necessary licenses and insurance. We have a designated staging area available for caterers. If needed, we can provide you with a list of preferred vendors upon request.
Do you provide a bartender?
We do not offer bar services directly. However, your caterer may offer these services. Please note that all alcohol must be served by a licensed and insured bartender. We can provide you with our list of preferred bartending vendors to assist you in making arrangements.
What is the capacity?
Our venue can accommodate up to 100 guests outdoors and 25 guests indoors, ensuring an intimate and memorable experience for your event.
Where do our guests park?
We have limited parking space available, allowing a maximum of 10 cars to remain on the property. To ensure convenience for your guests, we offer shuttle services. The location of parking will be determined during our consultation to optimize accessibility.
Can we bring our own décor?
Absolutely! We encourage your creativity and allow you to bring your own decorations. Our dedicated staff will set up your tables, chairs, and linens on the morning of your event. For weekend packages, we offer day-of setup assistance. However, please note that all decorations must be cleaned up by Sunday at 11 am.
What time does the event have to end?
The event must conclude by 11 pm. We recommend having the last call around 10:30 pm, and all guests must depart by 12:00 am.
Who cleans up?
We kindly ask that all trash and decorations be removed from the tent by 11 am on the Sunday following the event. Our team will handle the disposal of the trash, as well as the breakdown of tables and chairs. If you prefer, we offer a cleanup service for a fee of $500.00.
Is Vendor insurance required?
Yes, we require each vendor to carry their own insurance to ensure a smooth and secure event experience.
What is required to book?
To secure your event date, we require a signed contract, a non-refundable deposit of 25%, and a credit card on file. The remaining balance must be paid in full 30 days before the event date. Please note that deposits are non-refundable.

What dates are available?
Available dates are from May 18th to October 30th.
When are the payments due? Do you offer a payment plan?
When the contract is signed, to continue holding the date, we require a 25% booking fee to be paid. One month before the event, 75% of the remaining fee will be due. You are welcome to send smaller, partial payments of any amount before the specified due date, so in effect, you can create your payment plan on your schedule. Please include the last names of the couple and the wedding date in the memo line if you are mailing a check. Full payment is due by the specified due date. We also reserve the right to request a credit card on file for any damages to the facility or grounds. Tax is applied to each payment.
How do I reserve a date?
To reserve a date, email us at twistedrootsgardens@gmail.com saying you are ready to book XYZ date if it is still available. We suggest you email us stating you are ready to book your preferred date and then include a backup date in case your preferred date is unavailable. Before booking a date, we hope you can come out in person to visit the gardens. Dates are reserved on a first-requested basis.
Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?
We kindly request that all tours be by appointment only.
Do you provide table linens?
Yes! Standard floor-length linens for guest tables are provided, with upgrades available.
Do you allow dogs on site to play a part in our wedding day?
We are dog-friendly, with some specific stipulations. Dogs are allowed at the ceremony and for pictures. Dogs must be on a leash and someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom.
What form of payment does Twisted Roots Gardens accept?
We accept Card, Cash or Checks.
What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?
You will have access to the venue at the time listed on your contract.

Legal Information - Twisted Roots Gardens
Event Insurance Requirement: To ensure the safety and protection of all parties involved, we require a comprehensive event insurance policy with a minimum coverage of $1 million. Twisted Roots Gardens should be listed as the additional insured party on the policy. The approximate cost for such coverage is approximately $240.
Sales Tax: Please note that in accordance with Michigan state regulations, a 6% sales tax will be applied in addition to the venue rental fees.
Pricing and Terms: We strive to maintain transparency and fairness in our pricing. However, please be aware that pricing is subject to change at any time. Your contract rate and terms will be based on the date the contract is written, regardless of the date of the tour. It is not uncommon for couples to tour our venue weeks or even months before finalizing their booking, and occasionally, we may open our future year calendar for booking before the tour takes place. In the event that there has been a change in rates, the contracted investment and terms will be determined based on the date the contract was written, ensuring clarity and consistency for all parties involved.
